Greenwood Lake. Exciting programs at the GWL Library in May

The Greenwood Lake Public Library is offering the following programs in May. Please note: In-person programs are subject to change as required by health restrictions. Registered patrons will be notified of any changes and information will be posted on FB & IG.

For adults

Chair Yoga with Sara: Zoom classes every Monday morning from 11 a.m. to non.

The Art of Drawing with Mark McKenna: Saturday, May 1, from 1 to 2:30 pm. In-person.

Mark, a talented DC and Marvel Comics artist, returns with a program for adults. Mark will demonstrate the steps in the creative process and developing a final product. Registration is limited.

Adult 3D Printing Workshop: Thursdays, May 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 6 to 7 pm. In-Person.

Victor Pignataro will offer this amazing workshop in four sessions to learn how to design and print a three dimensional creation. Enrollment is limited for this exceptional program.

For children and young adults

Special Drumming Celebrations: Saturday, May 8

11 a.m. to noon for ages 4 through 9 and from 1 to 2 p.m. for ages 10 and older.

A very special in-person event: Robert Friedman will instruct and entertain the young people with rhythm-based games and exercises. This is sure to be a popular and memorable experience for all! Registration is limited.

For all ages – young and adult

Meteorologist Joe Rao from Channel 12 News, Saturday, May 22. Time: TBA

In preparation for the upcoming solar eclipse, Joe will describe what to expect and how to best view this unusual celestial event. There will be a question and answer session as well. Registration is limited.

Special programs for young children

The ever-popular Virtual Story Time with Ms. Kristin will continue to stream via the link at www.gwllibrary.org. Registered children receive story-related craft packets.
