New Hampton — Hudson Valley Remodelers will hold the grand opening of its design center and showroom from Friday, Sept. 28, through Sunday, Sept. 30. A ribbon-cutting hosted by the Orange County Chamber of Commerce will kick off the ceremony on Friday at 9 a.m., at the showroom, located at 2713 Route 17M in New Hampton. “Our family has been in the construction business for 30 years, we want to invite our customers, vendors and our friends and the public to see our showroom displays of kitchens, bathrooms, decks and sit in our Home Movie Theater and listen to our state-of-the-art sound system,” said Angelo Ferrante, president of Hudson Valley Remodelers. Homeowners will be able to talk to the business’s design team about their remodeling projects. Richard May, who recently earned his Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist Designation, will be available to give advice on making houses a home for a lifetime. The certification was developed to help meet the needs of the 77 million baby boomers who will reach the retirement age in the early years of the 21 century.
