Goshen to present workshop on underage drinking

GOSHEN - The Goshen Central School District will host “Parents Who Host, Lose the Most: Don’t Be a Party to Underage Drinking,” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, in the Main Street Building, 227 Main St., Goshen. The presentation will provide a forum for parents and community members about the legal ramifications and health and safety risks of serving alcohol to teens in one’s home or allowing underage drinking. The presentation is sponsored by the Community Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse/Underage Drinking Prevention Coalition, a collaboration of agencies interested in reducing underage drinking and its effects in Orange County. A representative from local law enforcement and members of SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving) will also participate. Registration is required by Thursday, Oct. 12.
