Goshen. Six students complete Academy of Film Television Stage and Performing Arts’ Meisner Acting Class

The Academy of Film Television Stage and Performing Arts, Inc., announces the advancement of six of its talented students for completion of Level 1.

The skills that they have acquired in this program gives them the basic tools for launching a career in entertainment or any other field that requires public presentation or characterization.

“We are extremely grateful to have worked with them and are excited to participating in their future pursuits,” said David Patrick Wilson, actor, writer, producer, director, singer and songwriter, in the Academy’s press release detailing the accomplishment. “We look forward to seeing them in Level II and in fact, several of these very talented students are currently in rehearsals for a number of Willy-Gilly productions. We will soon be filming their monologues and their productions that will put their acting skills before casting directors worldwide.’

To learn more about the classes being offered, a Level 1 Modern Meisner One-Hour Introductory Acting Workshop will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 11 .am. This informational workshop will be held at co/LAB, 45 St. John Street, Goshen, NY 10924.

It will cover methods taught by Sanford Meisner, founder of The Neighborhood Playhouse in Manhattan. Cost for this workshop is $35.

Classes are available for those students interested in participating in professional training. The Academy currently offers acting classes in the Sanford Meisner Acting Technique and Voice classes in the Seth Riggs Method of SLS (Speech Level Singing.)
