Gleaners prepare for Warwick's Harvest to Holly'

Warwick - Two members of the Warwick Valley Historical Society have been busy gleaning the fields at local farms for choice examples of peppers, apples, pumpkins, gourds, greenery and anything else that is natural and abundant in the Warwick Valley. Jane Glazman and Judy Harney n with help from committee members n will be using the gleanings to turn the Old School Baptist Meeting House into a blaze of autumn glory in preparation for concerts on the weekend of Nov. 17 and 18. Grapevine wreaths, garlands and swags will be fashioned out of gatherings from Ochs, Penning’s Orchard, Grammy’s Garden, W. Rogowski Farm, High Meadow Farm, Masker’s Orchard, Emmerich Greenhouses and Ted Edward Trees. The decorating committee is headed by Simonee Tierney, Bobbi Stubeck and Shelly Sherfey. Saturday evening’s concert will feature a classical trio performing Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Haydn. Sunday will feature afternoon performances by the Jubilate Choir and the Union AME Gospel Choir. Refreshments at Baird’s Tavern will follow.
