Warwick - Barbara Perry of Cornwall will present “Changing Lives,” a forum for fifth grade girls regarding the changes they can expect to have happen over the next few years, on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Warwick. Deborah Kantor, one of the leaders for Junior Girl Scout Troop 479 which is hosting the event, said Perry’s program “is a wonderful way for the girls to comfortably ask questions regarding these upcoming changes and how these changes will affect their lives. This is a great opportunity to open a pathway for future discussions with your daughters about their changing bodies, moods, and other issues we are all concerned about as our girls are growing up.” This event is primarily for girls between the ages of 9 and 11 and covers issues that are relevant to girls who are about to embark on physical and emotional changes as they prepare to become young women. The cost is $10 per girl and refreshments will be served. Space is limited so contact Kantor at 986-3232 for reservations or with questions. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is located at 95 Kings Highway in Warwick.
