Get out of the house and ‘Into The Woods'

MONROE-Creative Theatre-Muddy Water Players' 2005 season concludes with Stephen Sondheim's musical "Into the Woods" at The Playhouse at Museum Village, Route 17M, in Monroe. Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Sept. 23, 24, 30, and Oct. 1; 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25; and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2, as a matinee performance. A crew of classic fairy tale characters romp through a multi-layered plot, exploring the real meaning of "happily ever after" as previous actions come home to roost, with a vengeance. The production has Terri Brockmann as director, Joel Flowers as musical director and Maureen Burt as stage manager. Tickets are $20 and include pie, ice cream, iced tea and coffee.
