— Merrily Paper Boutique in Sugar Loaf is offering a new series of workshops starting Wednesday, Jan. 31.
It's part of the shop's “Let’s Get Creative” series taught by owner/artist Kat Parrella, a stationery designer who opened her shop in 2015 to bring "a fresh, modern aesthetic to the hamlet."
The first sessions' topics include paper flowers, creative lettering, and envelope art. Each class is 2.5 hours long and held in the boutique's cozy lounge. No experience is necessary. Tea and treats are offered at each session.
“Let’s Get Creative” classes will take place on Jan. 31, Feb. 22, March 7 and 15. Merrily Paper Boutique is located at 1375 Kings Highway.
The cost of each class varies from $35 to $45 and includes all instruction, crafting materials, and handouts, as well as a swag bag of supplies for creating more at home. Space is limited,
Merrily Paper Boutique carries Parrella's own line of greeting cards and lifestyle products, as well as other artisan cards and gifts, selected to bring customers items not found everywhere else.
"Support of women-owned businesses and independent designers are intrinsic to Merrily’s mission," Parrella says.
