Garden writing and drawing workshop to be offered

Cold Spring — Stonecrop Gardens, in Cold Spring, will offer a three-day garden journaling workshop, with botanical artist, Cynthia Padilla, and writer/publisher, Mary Jasch, on May 28, 29, and 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will learn the basics of field sketching and describing the gardens and their inhabitants “en plein aire.” This workshop offers an opportunity to discover and portray the flavor and nuance of Stonecrop’s varied and specialized gardens, including an enclosed English-style garden, alpine troughs, rock ledge, and water garden surrounded by views of the Hudson Highlands.
