WARWICK — On June 16 at 10 a.m. the Albert Wisner Public Library will present “Mid-season in your organic garden” with local organic gardener Gar Wang.

The focus of this lecture will be on plants that thrive during the hot months of summer. Also included will be information on mulch, water management, pest control and organic fertilization.

For more than 25 years, Wang has been enjoying bountiful harvests from her Warwick garden. She has lectured widely on the benefits of sustainable practices, organic gardening and vegetarian cooking.

She also is a regular contributor to DIRT Magazine, where her column “Dig It” provides practical tips for the organic gardener. (DIRT is a sister publication to The Warwick Advertiser.)
