Gallery to host reception for American Red Cross

Cornwall-on-Hudson — The Hudson Valley Gallery will host a reception for the American Red Cross from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at 246 Hudson St. in Cornwall-on-Hudson. (The snow date is Monday, Feb. 20, same time.) The Hudson Valley Gallery is currently featuring an exhibit of original work by John Fleming Gould (1906-1996), who among his many other credits was an illustrator for the American Red Cross during the mid-1950s. The reception will include a brief presentation by Red Cross representatives, who will share information on important programs and services being offered by the organization. The reception will provide an opportunity for members of the community to find out how they can support the work of the Red Cross. It will also provide an opportunity for those who worked for the organization decades ago to reconnect through their local area office. Refreshments will be served. To reserve, call 294-9785.
