Warwick - The Friends of the Albert Wisner Public Library will hold their annual “Moonlight Over Warwick Gala” on Oct. 27 at the Hickory Hill Golf Course in Warwick. This year’s theme will be a “Blue Jean Ball” featuring a live auction of decorated denim items from jackets to totes. The Friends of the Library are seeking local artists who would donate their talents to work with denim fabric as a canvas in areas such as painting, air brushing, embroidery, silk screening, sewing or appliqué. The Friends of the Library is also seeking donations of new or gently used denim jackets; any size or color is welcomed. If you are an interested artist or have jackets to donate please contact Auction Chair, Barbara Fink, by leaving a message on the Friends phone at 986-3839. The deadline for artist selection is June 30.
