Friends group to discuss library's history on April 19

    MONROE —“The First 100 Years of the Monroe Free Library” will be the topic of discussion at the April 19 meeting of the Friends of the Monroe Free Library. The Saturday meeting, which will run from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., will feature Marilyn MacIntosh, as the featured speaker. “In addition to learning about the library’s history during its centennial year, we’re also hopeful to have people join the Friends group and help support the library’s centennial year celebrations,” said Maria Vazquez-Doles, Friends president.
