Four bands to play for teens only at Harriman LIVE!'
Harriman “Harriman LIVE!” will present performances by four young adult bands from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the social hall in the Harriman United Methodist Church, on the corner of James and Church streets in Harriman. The event, a fundraiser for the social hall, is for teenagers only. Admission is $5, plus a donation to the food pantry of a non-perishable item. “Imposerous,” a three-man band from Red Hook, includes Adam Neilson (guitar/vocals), Ryan O’Leary (bass/vocals), and Zach Zucco (drums). To listen to their music, listed as pop punk, rock, and crunk, visit www.myspace.com/imposerous. “We Still Have Paris,” from the Highland Lakes area in New Jersey, consists of Kevin (vocals/guitar), Gary Dedousis (drums), Mike Deleasa (guitar/vocals), and a bassist to be announced. The band focused on writing songs in the fall of 2006, and recorded a five-song EP this past spring. Their music, listed as pop punk, electronica, and indie, can be sampled at www.myspace.com/wshp. “Call It A Night,” from the Hopewell Junction and Poughkeepsie area, is a high energy, pop-punk, rock, and emo act. The band consists of Kyle Buckley (drums), Randy Federighi (bass/back vocals), Rob Garcia (lead vocals), Stephen Hakanson (guitar), and Dan Saari (guitar). Their music combines lyrics with edgy breakdowns and uncompromised emotion. Hoping for their big break, the band writes new songs. For more information, visit www.myspace.com/callitanight. “Left to Chance” is an effort “to make something fresh and real.” The Orange County band mates are Ricky Aiello (lead vocals), Josh Angehr (guitar), John Beischer (bass), Zach Gioia (drums/percussion), and TJ McFadden (guitar/vocals). Their songs include original lyrics, shredding guitar riffs, and harmonies sung by two vocalists, with a strong, technical rhythm section.
