For a day, horses let their track go to the dogs

Goshen — They jumped, they ran, they pranced around in their showy duds. But most of all, the dogs at the Historic Track’s Dog Day Derby charmed. The judges at Westminster might pass them by — but here in Goshen, we found them irresistible. The second annual Dog Day Derby on July 10 was sponsored by the Windy Hollow Hunt Club. The event featured canine high jumping, open dog races, and an all-breed parade. Other highlights included a look-alike contest, best dressed contest, cutest dog contest, and chase competition, all with prizes.
