FLORIDA — The Florida Public Library will welcome representatives of various faiths for a Pathways of Faith panel discussion on Thursday, April 18, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the library.

This is part of the series of programs in the Bridging Cultures Bookshelf: Muslim Journeys grant received by the library from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the American Library Association (ALA). The grant aims to familiarize public audiences with the people, places, history, faith and cultures of Muslims in the United States and around the world.

Panel members will talk about and connect the tenets of their beliefs, and find out what we have in common. The panel include:

Rabbi Joel Schwab, religious leader of Temple Sinai in Middletown and president of the Middletown Interfaith Council.

Dr. Rasheed Hosein, professor of Western Civilization and Middle Eastern History at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

The Rev. Ernest VanderKruik, ordained minister in the United Methodist Church.

Questions and comments from the audience will be welcome.
