Rock Tavern — Ice sculptor Earl Covington of Highland Mills will be sharing his talents with the Orange County community to create a winter wonderland at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Rock Tavern. The work will be on display from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5. Individuals or families can have their pictures taken on the ice throne, go down a 20-foot ice slide, or spin in an ice egg ride. There will be live demonstrations daily. In 1990, culinary chef Earl Covington founded Ice Art in Spring Valley, where he uses his artistic vision and ice sculpting talent to create sculptures for businesses and private parties. Tickets are $3 for adults, $2 for children, or $10 a car. Attendees are requested to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. The Unitarian Universalist Congregation is located at 9 Vance Lane, off Route 207, west of Stewart Airport.
