Cornwall — The American Heritage Festival will be held on Saturday, September 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Museum of the Hudson Highlands' Kenridge Farm on Route 9W in Cornwall. On the lawn and back pastures of the 19th-century farm, visitors will watch traditional craftspeople at work, including a blacksmith, quilters, spinners, potters, and even a sheepherder. Children may try their hand at candle dipping, quill pen writing, and cornhusk-doll making. Native American dancers will join musicians and storytellers, and a Revolutionary War encampment will recreate the life of the colonial soldier. The farm's grounds and trails will be open, and hayrides will be available. Admission is $5 per person, which includes parking and all activities. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
