Festival of Trees rescheduled due to snow
Hamptonburg The Festival of Trees and Silent Auction will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10 and 11, the Orange County Arboretum. Garden Club members, community leaders and private citizens have designed, decorated and donated artificial tabletop trees, wreaths, garland, ornaments and specialty décor. A towering evergreen will be adorned with handmade natural ornaments and cascading lights. The ornaments were crafted using dried fruits, pinecones, acorns, nuts, milkweed pods, dried flowers, seeds, teasel, pussy willow, grapevines, and sweet gum balls. Santa Claus and his Elves will be greeting visitors throughout the day, and refreshments will be available. All proceeds will go to the beautification of the arboretum. The festival is sponsored in cooperation with the Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation. The arboretum is located in the County’s Thomas Bull Memorial Park on Grove St., off Route 416 in Hamptonburg. For more information, call 4574902.
