Decorated Christmas trees were the center of attention and available by silent auction at the Kings Theatre Company’s fourth annual “Festival of Trees” in November. A multitude of prettily wrapped gifts, donated by local sponsors, were sold at discounted prices. The preview Gala included entertainment by the Robert Kopec Trio, wine from Orange County wineries, and hors d’ouevres from Country Courtesy Caterers. The family event included pictures with Santa, children’s crafts, and costumed carolers. The Lycian Centre has a selection of gifts, still for sale, displayed in the main lobby, including a huge gift basket from Pennings Farm Market and china vase from LAM lighting. A raffle to win a new 46-inch Sharp AQUOS LCD television valued at $1,400 is ongoing until Dec. 17. Toys for Tots, a collection of toys for families in need, will be collected through Dec. 10.
