Family Fun Walk at the library WARWICK. Albert Wisner Public Library kicks off festivities celebrating its tenth anniverary on June 15.

The Albert Wisner Public Library will kick off festivities celebrating its tenth anniverary in the McFarland Drive building with a Family Fun Walk on Saturday, June 15, at 9 a.m. - rain or shine.
Participants should gather on the library’s River Birch Patio where the walk will begin.
Walking on the Library’s trail past the Storywalk exhibit, the participants will follow a marked path through the new village trail that parallels McFarland Drive and into Memorial Park, to Forester Avenue, and then return by the same route.
Joining in the fun will be Village Mayor Michael Newhard, Library Director Rosemary Cooper and may of the members of the Friends of the Library.
This walk is easy and non-competitive, meant for participants of all ages.
At the conclusion of the walk everyone can share in refreshments and receive a commemorative sticker.
The Albert Wisner Public Library officially opened its doors at One McFarland Drive on Nov. 15, 2009.
Through the summer and fall months, the library will present a series of programs and events for all ages celebrating the tenth nniversary as the community’s “favorite place to meet, discover, learn and connect.”
The library invites the entire community to join them for this fun kick-off event.
