SUGAR LOAF-The 33rd annual Sugar Loaf Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8, 9, and 10. The festival is a celebration of the arts, with crafters, food and music, and colorful fall scenery. All events are free of charge. Crafters from near and far will join the artisans and craft shops of Sugar Loaf with their crafts and creations. Food will abound, with a variety of cuisine from visiting vendors and local restaurants, while musicians, poets and performers, including clowns for the kids, will be on stage throughout the weekend. Attendees may enjoy a horse and carriage ride, discuss crafts with the artisans, shop for holiday gifts, or relax in the sculpture garden and enjoy the free concerts, poetry and dancers with a plate full of sweets. The festival has planned something for the whole family. The community of artists and craftspeople located at the foot of Sugar Loaf Mountain is surrounded by apple orchards, wineries and picturesque views. The village has a crafting heritage of over 250 years, with dozens of local artisans and crafters in village shops and galleries year round. The festival is sponsored by the Sugar Loaf Chamber of Commerce. For more information, call 469-9181 or visit www.sugarloafnychamber.com.
