Newburgh The “Newburgh Treasures Walk,” a free walking tour of Newburgh’s Historic East End, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, as part of the annual Hudson River Valley Ramble. The tour will feature homes and structures by several famous 19th-century architects, including Andrews Jackson Downing, Frederick Withers, Calvert Vaux, and Alexander Jackson Davis. Along the way, visitors will see Tiffany windows, magnificent churches, and hidden gardens. The Historical Society of Newburgh will be hosting the walk, to be led by the Newburgh City Historian and members of the Historical Society Board of Managers. The tour will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Captain David Crawford House, located at 189 Montogmery Street. The raindate is Sunday, Sept. 30. An optional post-walk tour of the Crawford House costs $5. The tour limited to 20 participants.
