Experience the healing arts during Warwick Summer Arts Festival

Warwick — The Warwick Summer Arts Festival and the Source For The Healing Arts will offer “Know No Boundaries” on Sunday, July 9, at Winslow Therapeutic Center at 328 Route 17A in Warwick. The event will feature workshops about the new field of Integrative Health, including: acupressure, acupuncture, chiropractic, integrative psychotherapy, massage therapy, a whole foods chef, self hypnosis, stress reduction and management, guided imagery, art therapy, hippotherapy, yoga, music therapy, therapeutic use of essential oils, nutrition, equine-assisted therapy, and the Alexander Technique for breathing coordination. Patrons can experience the events by themselves, or with their special needs child. The workshops are open to caregivers, parents, health care professionals, mental health and direct care professionals, and service coordinators, or anyone looking to improve health and wellness, or reduce stress. Visitors may tour the Winslow facilities, experience a demonstration of healing on a horse, Peggy, and ride the “Equicizer,” a mechanical horse for training and therapy.
