CORNWALL-The Museum of the Hudson Highlands will present "Art Inspired by Nature" an art workshop series featuring local artists Susan Silverman Fink and Paul Gould. In workshops using the media of watercolor, pastel or acrylic, the public will be guided by the artists to examine the natural beauty of the Hudson Highlands. Two workshops will be offered by each artist in which participants will learn to express what they see in nature. The workshops will be held July 17, July 25, Aug. 14, and Aug. 15. Susan Silverman Fink enjoys experimenting with art's many mediums and testing its (and her) limits of expression. Her workshops, where Fink will instruct in the techniques of pastels and acrylics, will be held on Saturday, July 17, at the Kowawese Unique Area in New Windsor, and Aug. 14 at the Museum's Kenridge Farm on Route 9W, Cornwall. Paul Gould has lived in the Hudson Valley for most of his life where he is well known for his landscape paintings. Gould will hold watercolor workshops on Sunday, July 25, at the Kowawese Unique Area in New Windsor, and on Sunday, Aug. 15 at the Museum's Kenridge Farm. Each workshop, suitable for all levels, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants should bring their own supplies and lunch. Pre-registration is required. The cost for each workshop is $30 and $20 for museum members. Call 534-5506, ext 204.
