Eddie Adams Farm to host Mozart Festival

    Jeffersonville — The Weekend of Chamber Music will celebrate Mozart’s 250th birthday with “Summer Festival 2006 - In the Company of Mozart,” from July 9 to 22 in Jeffersonville. The festival will kick off with “Mozart al fresco,” a free outdoor concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, on Main Street. For the first time, Eddie Adams Farm is a presenting sponsor, and will host six of the Mozart Festival’s nine events: free Thursday “At Work & Play Behind the Notes” open rehearsals on July 13 and 20; “Fabulous Friday” one-hour concerts at 7 p.m. on July 14 and 21, for a cost of $20; and “Sophisticated Saturdays” at 8 p.m. on July 15 and 22, with gala Meet-the-Artist receptions and catered refreshments, for a cost of $25. These will be held in the Eddie Adams Barn on North Branch Road. “Café Concerts with Panache” on Tuesdays will provide patrons a chance to kick back after work, at 6 p.m., get a light summer supper and concert, and still be home by 9:30 p.m., at a cost of $40. The hosts will be the Dead End Café in Parksville on July 11, and the Hills Country Inn in Callicoon Center on July 18. Concert admission is always free for students under 18.
