Eat, drink, dance: Greek Fest at Holy Cross

Visit the sunny Peloponnesus without leaving Orange County. For their annual festival this weekend, the parishioners of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church are busy making all your favorite Greek dishes — including souvlaki, Greek salad, mousaka, spanakopita, and more. And there’ll be plenty of cold retsina to wash it all down with. Many kinds of dessert, like baklava, will be available, also homemade, with your choice of strong Greek coffee or the usual kind. Eat and drink to music and dancing by professional performers, and be ready to join in. The festival will be held from Thursday, June 2, through Sunday, June 5, on the church grounds, located at 2250 Goshen Turnpike in Middletown. For more information call 695-1976.
