— The Downing Film Center will present screenings of Stephen Sondheim’s "Merrily We Roll Along." SpectiCast, in association with CinemaLive and Digital Theatre, is presenting this acclaimed revival from London's West End.

Set over three decades in the entertainment business, Merrily We Roll Along charts the relationship between three close friends - Franklin, Mary and Charley. Travelling backwards in time, this powerful and moving story features some of Stephen Sondheim's most beautiful songs including "Good Thing Going," "Not a Day Goes By" and "Old Friends."

Merrily We Roll Along was captured during the productions final performances at the West End's Harold Pinter Theatre, which followed a sell-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

"This production of Merrily We Roll Along is not only the best I've seen, but one of those rare instances where casting, direction and show come together in perfect combination, resulting in the classic ideal of the sum being greater than the parts," said Sondheim.

Merrily We Roll Along will have special screenings at the Downing Film Center on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 12 noon and again on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m.. This film is not rated but is treated as PG.

Ticket prices are $10 general admission, $8 for members. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or in advance at the Web site www.downingfilmcenter.com. Seating is on a first-come first-served basis.
