Dog obedience and grooming classes for kids

    MIDDLETOWN — The 4-H program of Cornell Cooperative Extension is offering dog obedience and grooming classes for all young people aged nine to 19, with an orientation beginning Friday, April 11. Classes will be held in Middletown on Monday evenings and Newburgh on Wednesday evenings. Dogs six months and older and of any breed can participate. Each dog may only have one trainer and all dogs must have proof of vaccinations. Advanced classes will also be conducted for young people previously graduating from the beginning or higher levels. Fee is $10 for enrolled 4-H members; or $17 for non-enrolled members and is due with the registration. This fee may be waived for children with financial hardship. Class sizes are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Call 344-1234 for additional information.
