Dog lovers celebrate ‘Unleashed' with author

Warwick — Just in time for the holidays and the dog lovers on your gift list, The Bookstore will celebrate the publication of “Unleashed: The Collected Dog Columns” with a book signing by author and newspaper columnist Beth Quinn from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4. The book is a collection of Quinn’s dog columns, accompanied with humorous photographs, from her weekly opinion column in the Times Herald-Record. Quinn has written more than 50 columns about her confused, cowardly, crazy and costly dogs. As a columnist, her work has garnered more than 35 state and national writing awards. She is married to Bob Quinn, the managing editor of The Warwick Advertiser and The Photo News. “Anyone who enjoys the presence of a dog in their life will immediately connect with the photographs and assorted stories that Beth has shared with us,” said Michael McDermott, owner of the Bookstore.
