Goshen — The Hailey's Hope Foundation will host its third annual "Viva Italia" dinner auction fundraiser from 7 to 11 on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Harness Racing Museum, 240 Main St., Goshen. Highlights include Italian cuisine, cocktails, music, auction, raffles and more. Proceeds from twill benefit families in need with premature and critically ill babies who are hospitalized in neonatal intensive care units. The Hailey's Hope organization offers financial support to families to enable them to participate in their babies' critical care, and to bring them hope, comfort and support as they cope with the fear and isolation associated with their infant's long hospitalization. Hailey's Hope has provided support to over 500 families in the Hudson Valley at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, and at the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley. More 38 percent of these families live in Orange County. This winter, the foundation plans to expand its programs to reach families at the new neonatal intensive care unit at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. During the evening, Orange County Executive Edward A. Diana will be presented with the Hailey Zion Memorial Award for Community Spirit for his contributions to the public sector and to numerous organizations such as Hailey's Hope. For information about sponsorship opportunities, journal ads and tickets or to make a contribution, call Debra Randazzo at 914-584-8833. Tickets start at $75. Advance registration only.
