Decorate a bra for breast cancer awareness

Washingtonville — All artists, professional and amateur, are invited to decorate or create a bra to raise awareness of breast cancer. Bras will be auctioned off at the third annual "BRA-zaar" from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 20, at Vinum Caf at the Brotherhood Winery, 84 Brotherhood Plaza, Washingtonville. Tickets to "BRA-zaar" are $30 each. Proceeds will benefit the YWCA Orange County Cancer Services Partnership. The artists may use a variety of materials, like paint, clay, feathers, beads, sequins, and fabric. Each entry must resemble a bra, be created by hand, and measure no larger than 18 by 18 inches. Each artist is asked to name their unique creation. Guests will vote on their favorite bras. The top three artist will be recognized at the event.
