Dancer and choreographer S. N. Charka to offer Kathak Dance Concert on July 1

Monroe — International dancer and choreographer Pandit S. N. Charka will present a Devotional Kathak Dance Concert, with Dr. Narendra and Sanjay Verma on tabla, at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday July 1, at Ananda Ashram in Monroe. Special guest artists from India, Nayan Pancholi on vocals and Vikram Patil on tabla, will also participate. The dance concert with live music will feature classic and contemporary Kathak dance, with rhythmic dialogues between the musicians and dancer. The event is just one the East-West School of Dance programs held in the Blue Sky Center during the Summer Convocation & Anniversary of Ananda Ashram, located at 13 Sapphire Road, off Harriman Heights Road.
