Daisies and Diamonds'dinner-dance to benefit hospice
New Windsor “Daisies and Diamonds” is the theme of this year’s spring gala to benefit Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties. Cocktails will begin flowing at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. The Dynasty Orchestra will perform dance tunes through the night. The event includes a silent auction and a live auction featuring a trip to Puerto Rico, jewelry, golf, sports, theater tickets, and more. Committee members are Mary Bonura, Barbara Naru, Amanda Dana, Mary Ann Butler, Marilyn D’Ambrosio, Donna Grady, Susan Jensen, Joan Kaplan, Nancy Kane, Debbie Martucci, Renee McCabe, Marianne Murray Rowley, and Janet Sullivan. Tickets cost $150. Black tie is preferred. Bob’s Towne & Country and Sossi Formals, both in Newburgh, have pledged 10 percent of all gala-related purchases to be donated back to Hospice. Flowers by David Anthony will provide floral arrangements. Sponsorship opportunities are available and will benefit Hospice’s homecare program and the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence. Hospice provides support and care for people in the final stages of incurable disease so that they might live as fully and comfortably as possible.
