Creative Theatre to present British farce

Monroe — Creative Theatre’s 2007 season will continue with the comedy, “No Sex Please, We’re British,” by Anthony Marriott and Alistair Foot, under the direction of David Mossey. Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. on July 7, 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21; 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 8 and 15; 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 22. Peter and Frances have the perfect life. They are newly-weds with a new home, his prestigious banker’s job and a bright future ahead of them. All that comes to an end suddenly, when they start to receive large packages of pornography in the mail. With the help of their accident prone friend, they must try to hide the books, photos and movies from his visiting mother, his snoopy boss and the local police. Add to that a bank inspector coming to “look at the books” and getting more than he bargained for! Tickets to individual performances are $17 each, which includes dessert at intermission consisting of apple pie, ice cream, iced tea and coffee.
