County publishes new tourism guide
Orange County Orange County Tourism’s Visitor’s Guide, just published, will guide visitors both locals and out-of-towners to the best tourism sites in the heart of the Hudson Valley. The guide provides concise descriptions of attractions and lodging, plus hours of operation, contact information and Web links. New attractions include the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor; the new visitors center at Fort Montgomery; the expanded amusement facilities at The Castle Family Fun Center; and the region’s newest winery, the Palaia Vineyards, where the tasting room is housed in a 200-year old barn with a view of the vineyards and historic homestead. The map on the inside back cover will lead visitors to Orange County’s most famous sites as well, including the United States Military Academy at West Point; Storm King Art Center; Sugar Loaf Arts and Crafts Village; Woodbury Common Premium Outlets; and the Orange County Choppers Showroom. The guide also lists public transportation, outdoor adventure sites, cultural sites, farm markets, wineries and antiques shops.
