GOSHEN — Cool jazz comes to the Goshen Farmers Market in Village Square when The Devin Arne Jazz Trio performs from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 13. The group is appearing as part of “The Homegrown Music Series,” free mini-concerts Orange County musicians will give at the market throughout the season. Arne, a guitarist, is a Goshen native. He began his musical career playing both independently and with the Hudson Valley Youth Jazz orchestra. He recently completed his studies at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, where he was heavily involved in the local jazz scene. He has performed or recorded with internationally renowned jazz musicians including Gary Thomas, Ingrid Jensen, Michael Formanek, and Bob DeVos. He has been featured on WAMC Northeast Public radio and Maryland Public Television. The trio, with Christopher Meets on bass and Alex Ritz on drums, will play original compositions and jazz standards. In the event of inclement weather on July 13, the concert will be rescheduled. The Goshen Farmers Market is held every Friday, rain or shine, through Oct. 26 in the heart of Goshen at Village Square.
