New Windsor — King of Kings Lutheran Church will sponsor Gary McCourry in concert at the New Windsor Gazebo on at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30. This concert is in addition to the regular series of Wednesday night concerts sponsored at the Gazebo by the town of New Windsor. McCourry, a jazz saxophonist, is a member of the West Point Jazz Knights. Free refreshments, provided by the Great American Popcorn Company, will also be available at the concert. Voluntary donations will be received (but not required) at the concert for the benefit of Habitat for Humanity in Newburgh. The donations will supplement a grant that local Lutherans have secured to build a house at 58 Henry Street, while also strengthening the work of the local Habitat affiliate. The grant is a part of a 50 million dollar partnership of Thrivent Financial with Habitat worldwide. The concert will be held rain or shine, moving to the New Windsor Community Center in case of rain.
