Middletown — The SUNY Orange Financial Aid staff has set the fall financial aid workshop schedule to assist students with the application processes for spring 2007 Financial aid packages are vitally important to the successful pursuit of a college education for most students, so SUNY Orange officials have scheduled 12 financial aid workshops over the next three months in an attempt to support prospective students as they seek assistance to help pay for their education during the spring 2007 semester. Sessions will be held concurrently, at the same times and on the same dates, at the Shepard Student Center on the college’s main campus, 115 South St., Middletown, as well as at the Newburgh Extension Center, One Washington Center. The workshops will begin promptly at 6 p.m. and will be conducted on the following six Wednesdays: Oct. 18 and 25, Nov. 15 and 29, and Dec. 6 and 13. All workshops are open to the general public. Attendance is not limited to current or prospective SUNY Orange students. The workshops are open to all prospective college students, not just students interested in attending SUNY Orange. Prospective applicants will be required to bring photocopies of the following documents: Federal Income Tax return and W-2 form, if applicable; parents’ Federal Income Tax return; parents’ W-2 form; and any other taxed or untaxed income information, if applicable. To complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process, it is strongly recommended that both the student (under age 24) and the parent attend the workshop.
