College to hold health fair March 1

NEWBURGH — Mount Saint Mary College will present its 13th annual Health and Wellness Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, in Hudson Hall. The fair will feature nearly 40 displays by community agencies and health care providers, on a wide variety of health-related topics. College departments and student organizations will also be represented. Blood pressure screenings will be offered, and a subluxation station will be hosted by Abreu Family Chiropractic Center. Back by popular demand, the Counseling Center will sponsor a table where participants can make their own stress balls. Theere will be free raffles and giveaways, and the first 500 people through the door will receive prizes. Participatng agencies include the MVP Health Plan, the Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Council of Orange County, Essentials for Life, Care Net, Alzheimer’s Association, St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Affinity Health Plan, Taylor Chiropractic, and Qi of Life Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Rose & Kiernan Inc., an insurance agency in Pawling, is joining the college’s Health Services and New Students & Wellness Program in sponsoring the fair.
