College jazz ensemble performs on two dates

Middletown — The State University of New York Orange Jazz Ensemble will be conducting a pair of concerts beginning at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 29 and again at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Both concerts will take place in the College’s Orange Hall Theater. Under the direction of Dave Miele, the Jazz Ensemble will perform musical numbers from “Blue Monk” by Thelonious Monk, “The Sidewinder” by Lee Morgan, “Four on Six” by Wes Montgomery, among others. Admission will be by donation to the SUNY Orange Arts and Communication Department’s music scholarship fund. For additional information, call 341-4787.
