Collage exhibit to open on July 22

    WARWICK-A collection of Collage and Assemblage artwork from 15 celebrated artists will begin on July 22 at the Gallery at Port of Call here. This exhibit will feature collage, mixed-media assemblages and constructions, contemporary, traditional, surrealism, abstract, figurative and decorative art made with paper, fabric, found objects, photographs, paint and metal and more! There is something here for everyone. "Piece by Piece" presents works of 15 collage artists. They are: Laura Breitman, Fran Cox, Harriet Fink, France Garrido, Ellen Golla, David Horton, Tanya Laurer, Michael Madzo, Carol O'Connor, MaryAnn and Malcolm Owen, Dianne Shullenberger, Jonathan Talbot, Alice Wand, Joanne Williams. A reception will be held on Saturday, July 24 from 6-8:30 p.m. Many of the artists will be in attendance. Several of the artists have works in permanent museum collections including the Smithsonian, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Library of Congress, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Brooklyn Museum. Many have been published, awarded private grants, received Museum awards and are in private and corporate collections all over the world. Piece by Piece, an invitational exhibition, will be on display at the Port of Call, from July 22 through Aug. 29. Gallery hours are from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sundays.
