GOSHEN — The Goshen Humane Society is holding a feline spay/neuter clinic on April 19 at the shelter, 44 Police Drive in Goshen (behind the to police and highway departments). The procedures will be performed by the TARA feline mobile spay/neuter clinic. The cost is $60 per cat and includes a rabies shot, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. “This is an excellent opportunity to have your cat spayed or neutered and help control the cat population in our area,” said humane society president Rick Bossley. “Every spring and throughout the summer all our area shelters get inundated with cats and kittens. Some find homes, some do not.” The clinic can accommodate only 50 cats, with a maximum of 30 females. Other services include distemper shots for $7, flea treatments for $12, and deworming for $7. The clinic is first-come, first-served, with payment made at the time reservations are made. Owners should drop their cats off at the shelter between 7:45 and 8:30 a.m. and return between 4:30 and 5 p.m. to take their cats home. Call the shelter at 294-3984 to make a reservation.
