Church to host health fair

Warwick —The Board of Social Ministry, Women’s Ministry and Christian Mother’s support Group is hosting the first annual Women’s Health Fair on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Kings Highway in Warwick. This community event is open to the public. The doors will open at 8:45 a.m. and the first speaker will begin at 9 a.m. Guest speakers will discuss a variety of topics including: Osteoporosis, with a pharmaceutical representative performing heel density studies; a physician will discuss breast cancer and the importance of mammograms; a support group leader will speak about living with multiple sclerosis and two ovarian cancer survivors will share their experiences. Exhibition tables will be set up in the Fellowship Hall and will provide information about nutrition, exercise, relaxation techniques, alternative health options and heart disease.
