Christ Church prepares for Lobsterpalooza' on June 16

Warwick - For the past few years, Christ Church of Warwick has held its annual “Spring Tea” fund raiser to welcome the season. This year Christ Church will host its newest fundraiser, “Lobsterpalooza,” a first-ever lobster bake on Saturday, June 16, of Father’s Day weekend, at the Quality of Life Building on State School Road in Warwick from 2-7 p.m. It will be held rain or shine, with indoor as well as outdoor seating. The Lobsterpalooza Committee has been planning this lobster bake with live entertainment, which will raise funds for the work of Christ Church, which includes support for local outreach organizations such as Warwick Meals-On-Wheels, Warwick Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity and St. Margaret’s Soup Kitchen. The menu will include lobster or chicken, corn, potatoes and coleslaw and a 20 oz. bottle of soda or water followed by desserts. The day’s festivities also will include hourly raffles of prizes donated by from local businesses and games for kids of all ages. Lobsterpalooza tickets are $25 per plate in advance or $35 per plate the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased by calling the “Lobsterpalooza” Reservation Hotline at 986-1774.
