Chorale rehearsals begin Tuesday for spring season
WARWICK The Warwick Valley Chorale, the oldest active singing group in Orange County, will begin rehearsals for its spring 2006 season at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Warwick Reformed Church at 16 Maple Ave (Route 94) in Warwick. No audition is required to join. Under the direction of conductor Stanley Curtis, the chorale will prepare a program - featuring Haydn’s Misa Brevis, Young’s Misa Festiva, several pieces by Randall Thompson, and patriotic selections - for a concert in May or June. Rehearsals are scheduled from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Warwick Reformed Church. The first rehearsal will begin at 7 p.m. to allow for registration and distribution of music.
