Choosing the right wine for the food
Warwick Applewood Winery in Warwick will offer a series of wine and food workshops with Chef Jody Weatherstone, editor of Applewood Winery Cookbook, and a graduate of New York University and the Institute of Culinary Education. During the afternoon sessions, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7, Chef Jody will prepare small bites to eat, paired with selections from the winery’s wine list, and discuss the different elements of flavor and interaction with the components of wine. She will show how to apply this information to serving wine with favorite meals. Cooks at the beginning level are encouraged to attend.
