Children's organization to host auction
Middletown The Brian Ahearn Children’s Fund will be hosting a Silent Auction and Dinner Dance to be held on Saturday Nov. 17, at Kuhl’s Highland House in Middletown. DJ Richard Pell will provide music and entertainment throughout the evening. Supporters who have attended previous BACF Auctions know they can expect truly special items to bid upon. Unique offerings include exclusive vacation packages, rare sports memorabilia, tickets to TV shows, sporting events, and skiing venues just to name a few. Major sponsors for the auction are The Castle Fun Center in Chester, Horizon Medical Group, and Northwestern Mutual Financial Network-Dan O’Brien. Local artisans and merchants continue to support BACF and additional auction items are greatly appreciated. Since inception in 1999 BACF has donated more than $450,000, reaching out to more than 200 local families. The Brian Ahearn Children’s Fund was founded in January of 1999, in memory of Brian, who was 14 when he passed away the previous August after a courageous battle with brain cancer. The kindness and support that Brian and his family received during his illness inspired the Children’s Fund and its mission. The cost for the event is $75 per person.
