Children to have ‘Fun with Clay'

    Monroe —“Fun with Clay,” a workshop for children ages 6 to 8, will be held at Museum Village in Monroe from Monday through Friday, Aug. 21 to 25, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. each day. Teaching the program is Karen Consalvo Chereck, a New York State certified public school teacher and a member of the National Art Education Association. She is also a working artist in pen and ink, acrylics, colored pencil, and watercolor, and creates florals, landscapes, abstract paintings, and drawings in charcoal and pencil. The cost is $75 per child. Supplies are required and are not included in the fee. A list of the supplies needed will be provided at time of registration. Students will create characters, creatures, or sculpture according to their imagination. They will be shown a variety of techniques used for sculpting.
