WEST POINT-The United States Military Academy Band's Clarinet Quartet will continue its chamber music series at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10, at the West Point Jewish Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public. It will feature pieces by composers J.S. Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven arranged by Sergeant First Class John Parrette, and an arrangement of J.S. Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3, BWV 1068. This five-movement work highlights different tempos and styles. The second arrangement, by Sergeant First Class Parrette, is Beethoven's Quartet No. 10 in Eb, Opus 74. All four clarinetists are from the West Point Academy Band. Allow extra travel time for the 100 percent vehicle and photo I.D. inspection at Stony Lonesome and Thayer gates. Because of changing security requirements at West Point, call the Academy Band's hotline at 938-2617 or check www.usma.edu/special before leaving for the concert.
